I have what should be a simple question.
We have a new workspace set up in PW. The client provides most information using DGNLBs.
So, we pathed MS_DGNLIBLIST to <folder path>\*.dgnlib.
Interestingly, no custom linestyles are being found. We have confirmed the correct path the MS_DGNLIBLIST is showing in MicroStation, but no dice. Things like plot styles show up, but no linestyles.
I even tried opening the linestyles DGNLIB in a separate session of MicroStation, opening an exported copy on my hard drive. The DGNLIB shows no linestyles. It does indicate that the many lines in it are drawn with whatever linestyle. But the linestyle shows as
NAME (<Not Found>)
DS_Linestyles.dgnlib
The DGNLIB is attached. Any ideas???
This may not be it, but do you have an RSC backup? Or a backup of the DGNLIB from when you know it worked?
I have seen (and done) stranger things than a DGNLIB file accidentally compressed, either by a well-meaning person, or someone who had "Compress on Exit" enabled in their preferences.

Mary, thank for your reply. I looked more and this client was providing RSCs in addition to the linestyles DGNLIB. I think the DGNLIB made me miss the RSCs - after all, why provide both? Anyway, when I loaded up the RSCs and pointed MS_SYMBRSRC to them, all worked as expected. Weird...
RSC files are the only way to edit a linestyle, should that need to be done. They are also a fail-safe against a compressed DGNLIB. Glad you found them, and glad to hear it is all working now.
