Can the tabulated "details" info that is available when selecting elements from the Explorer dialog, be applied to elements selected manually with the Selection tool?Otherwise is there are method in Explorer to group the manually Selected elements (perhaps in the advanced search) to then pick up the Details?
I only want to interrogate/edit the details of manually selected elements.

I assume you are using a version of MicroStation CONNECT Edition, as you talk about "Explorer", but it is always a good idea to mention the software and version you're using.

It's difficult to understand exactly what you are requesting here from your description. Maybe if you could provide a screen capture to help with what you would like to perform in the Explorer dialog.

My apologies - MicroStation CONNECT updt15...
Having taken a step back, and taken a deep breath, I have found what I was looking for hidden in the Ribbon: Home -> Primary -> More -> Details
Firing up this "Details" dialog first, then making a manual selection with the Select tool is what I needed to do.
I was only familiar with getting the Details panel up by the right click pop-up menu in the explorer, and didn't think it was its own tool.
Thanks for responding anyway.

Robert
Hi Robert, Would the "Properties" dialog not be a better option for what you want to do? Home->Primary-> the icon right approve "more details"
HTH,

Hi Brian - No the properties dialog (my usual weapon of choice) groups the sub-properties of multiple elements together - so it is hard to read the values of each element side by side.
eg. select a few shape elements of different sizes and the Area property only show <Varies>... Expand the element list and highlight them individually to see the specific Area for each element, but I want to see all the areas as list.
Thanks

A MicroStation Report can do that.

The source of data in a MicroStation Report can be the current file or model, a selection set or a fence.
