I have noticed some standard behavior with point clouds in Microstation CONNECT and wondering if there any settings that can stop automatic nesting?
If a reference has a point cloud attached, the point cloud will automatically be loaded into subsequent reference files. Even if live nesting is turned off.
Any way to stop this behavior?
Essentially I want to remove the point cloud from "Model B"
Attach a point cloud into "Model A"
"Model B" will reference "Model A" .The point cloud (nested in Model A) should not automatically load into Model B
Hi Stuart
I think it could be that point clouds are not seen by the program in the same way as dgn references are.
MicroStation probably sees a point cloud as part of the referenced file and not as another reference, one level deeper - so the nesting logic would not apply here.
But you could manage the point cloud's visibility by turning on and off the level on which it's located.
