I have a file (model) where all settings are well defined -- and a couple of similar files (models) where this is not the case.
What is your best way to copy the settings over?
Maybe you want to change a particular setting and distribute it to the rest of the files.
Yes, that is what I sometimes do. For single files. But if you think of a batch of files and at some point you want to change some settings (e.g. raster, units etc.) a bit differently throughout the project. I thought sb. would have a easier route. Some "copy settings from model". Maybe I will put it into ideas.
Thanks for your answers.
Use file merge.
Make a copy of well defined DGN and then referenece and merge the file you need to apply this setting. Merge tool mostly is not recommended but in this case it should be ok.
I like to copy all the file settings I have in one file to another. Sounds weird?
what settings and in what version..

I would find the keyin string to get what you are looking for (IE: as=2,aa=0) and use a batch routine to run on the files.
