Microstation will not start on my Win 10 machine. It is stuck on the splash screen with the loading cursor animation (still moving, not frozen).
In task manager the application states "not responding" and memory usage peaks to around 6 gigs, falls back to 500MB and then goes back up again. This is an eternal loop and the pc is non responsive during memory peaks. There is a lot of activity on the second HD (data disk). Microstation is installed on the C: drive.
Windows 10 Home is up to date. Reinstalling Microstation (and all other Bentley apps) did not work.
My laptop has 8 gigs of memory, sufficient HD space, Intel HD graphics with shared memory which is not ideal but should be ok to run Microstation, no?
Starting Microstation with "run as administrator" has no effect.
Does anybody have some tips on how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Jef

Thanks for the quick reply, Leonard.
I forgot to mention but already tried disabling AV (Microsoft Defender). It didn't work.
Event logs should have some information on which module is causing this hang/crash. Kindly share.
Do also look for Crash logs if any.
