I've been on google for a while now and not being able to find my answer. I'm thinking I either don't understand the google results or my question hasn't been asked yet. I'm looking for a way to cycle through snap-modes. Fx [CTRL] + [Mouse wheel] for cycling between "near snap"/"keypoint snap"/"midpoint snap" and so on and so forth.
I'm using Microstation Connect.
Best regards,
Jacob Collstrup

That's where I have been going wrong, although I'm sure that with SS4 if I hit the 'I' key for example this gave accudraw focus straightaway, without having to hit another key (F11).
No, even in SS4, if Accudraw doesn't have focus, the shortcuts don't work. I run into that every day, and have a mouse button programmed for Accudraw focus. It's possible that in CE more areas are vying for focus so it's more often unfocused. But SS4 doesn't always have focus either.

I've using the multisnap this morning and it's really helping me out. Thanks for the help.
Thanks for all the replies. They've helped me a lot. I asked one of my colleagues too and I thought I'd share his tip as it might help some of you. In "File -->Settings-->User-->Button Assignment" you can find this little gem:
This will give you this little gem at the cursor:
With that, multisnap and the keyboard shortcuts I'm saving a lot of time now. Once again thanks for the help.
Click the Snap icon in the status bar, and then the icon to display the Snap toolbar - and dock it to the bottom of the screen - then it is always available to you.
