Hi,
I changed the expansion of the MS_FONTPATH, MS_SYMBRSRC. But it did not do anything to my drawing. But when I close the drawing and reopen it, the config file then updated and effected on my drawing.
Is there a way to manual update the setting in the drawing?
Regards,
KZ
Any changes made to configuration variables while working in MicroStation will only be accepted after the software has been restarted. This is due to the fact that these variables are actually being stored in your configuration files (CFG) out side of the software. MicroStation needs to go through a process of loading these configuration files and variables for them to take effect in your current session. This operation is Working As Designed.

In addition to Andrews post, In MicroStation CONNECT Edition if the Configuration Variables dialog is opened and the 'Flags' column displayed, you will find an icon indicating if a restart is required with delivered variables.
Note: You may need to right click on one of the column headings to expose the 'Flags' column

Thanks Carl. I did not know that. One question about the symbol config varieble.
It does not have the refresh indication on the Flag part. And on the layout, I clicked show all, and it does not have anything specific.
This config still only effects when I restart the software. The rsc file I directed to however, is on network drive. Do you think that might be the reason?
Thanks.
I believe your correct, as per https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/16680/how-can-a-resource-file-be-added-to-microstation . Defect 1126178 has been filed for refresh icon to be added against MS_SYMBRSRC var.
Thanks
