I'm trying to create a report with only distinct text values.
If I use Sorting and check Hide Repeated Values I get this but also empty records. I want the same result without the empty rows.

Probably. I just cannot get it to work.
I have just one column containing the text element text. When I try to aggregate I get just the count, no text. What I really want is just the distinct text values. A SQL query would be: "select distinct text from table order by text".
I'm trying to see if reports can be a way to create a map legend from the information in file.

I understand. I think that Reports should have a well-defined grammar similar to SQL or XQUERY.
You can vote for my Idea.
Looks like getting distinct is not possible with existing report features. What about if we provide a "Distinct" operation in highlighted UI, will this help?
