Hi All
Has some one else had problems wit U15 when attached references are old dwg files or IFC files when trying to set symbology override on any of these types of references?
For me nothing work until Microstation U15 crashes an i open the same file again, then the settings i made are visible, another thing what I don´t know if it is I that haven´t read the help files but to change an override color (level override) for ex IFC file the color dialog box shows colors that does not show in my design file as selected color, there is also a problem to set the display type in these types of references to different then your active design settings.,
Just checking if someone else has these kind of problems with U15.
(U14 had never problem to handle old dwg files or IFC files, but the level override was i think an known issue.)
Best regards
Tom
here is an example, the green line is set as override color for a dwg ver 13 (where the color in dialog box did not refereed to the color what i picked in the result in dgn file) file as reference. the gray transparency is the IFC file was set through reference presentation as transparent
all what you see is after I opened this file after U15 crashed, i did not see any changes when I tried to set the settings in active file.before crash

Here is an example when you pick an color from dialog box it do not going to be the same color in your settings.
Thanks for the screen captures to help explain your issue. Do you know the original source of these DWG (U13) files? It would be helpful if you could supply some example files so we can try to replicate what you're seeing here. There are a few defects already raised that may be related to your issue but it would be good to try to replicate what you're seeing here to confirm which of these are associated but may need to raise a new one.

Hi Andrew
There is an SR where you have example file, {SrvReqNo:[7001231884]} Updating MS+Descartes from CC
It appears that Service Request # 7001231884 has now been closed as it was believed by the MicroStation Colleague, Jayson Perry, that the crash was not related to your DWG files but with your installation. I have tested the operation of MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 15.2) by opening the DWG file you supplied here and there does not appear to be any errors or issues. If you believe this Service Request was not resolved and the MicroStation Colleague needs to investigate further you should probably reply to any emails relating to this SR for it to be reopened to continue with the investigation.
