in V8i I have always been able to create (alt enter) title as dgn attribute.. very handy and once built its also visible in win explorer.. recently this has stopped displaying for me in mstn
anyone got any ideas .. same files work for other users on network..
Here is mstn manager display see titles not displaying
here is win explorer and see titles visible and were created in mstn
I don't think there is a config variable for this but why not the same as it used to be a year ago.. just been putting up with it but now I'm sick of it not working..
I assume you're using MicroStation V8i SS10. Haven't delved into these properties before in relation to extra details that can be added to DGN files. When I look at the properties (Alt Enter) on a DGN file there does not appear to be a method of adding this Title information. This is making difficult to remedy what might be going wrong here. From what I can see this could possibly be a Windows issue but need to be able to replicate what you're explaining.

Alt+Enter - file properties in MicroStation. I see the 'Title' in Windows Explorer and in the 'File Open' diialog with CONNECT Edition.
Lorys - what version are you using?

V8i SS10 and win 10 .. other coworkers are using exactly the same version and windows vers, and they can see my entries in the manager view which is helpful to decide which file to select to open.
I created the Titles via alt + enter , I can see them in win Explorer I used to able to see them last year before covid19 in msnt manager but now I'm the only one at work using same server that can't see them.

The first recorded incident of the Covid19 virus infecting a UPF?

Wouldn't think this would be related to a UPF issue but you could try the process of resetting the UPF and cleaning out any temp files that might be affecting this.
