Line type display issue when referencing a saved view from 3D model into 2D drawing file (Connect Edition 15 10.15.00.74)

First off to explain the issue I'm going to walk through our work flow on how we create a 2D drawing in Microstation from a CADWorx Structures 3D model.

  • Create 3D model using CADWorx Structures 2020
  • Create new Microstation file using a 3D seed file
  • Reference CADWorx Model into the blank Microstation 3D file
  • Use Clip Volume to clip the 3D model to the area I'm wanting to make a drawing of (ex. a plan of the first level of a three level platform structure)
  • Rotate view into the position desired (top, front, right, etc.)
  • Create a saved view of what I'm wanting to make a 2D drawing

  • Create new Microstation file using a 2D seed file
  • Reference the saved view from the 3D file and set nesting to 1
  • Set presentation of the reference "Cut" and "Forward" to a modified version "Hidden Line Realistic" which shows hidden lines as a lineweight 0 and style 2
  • Annotate and dimension everything
  • Go over to layout views where our drawing border is
  • Reference the default view into layout view to create a "viewport"
  • Set scale
  • Print

I am currently running update 13 and have also tested this method on update 14 and this method works well for us. A few co workers have got new machines which had Microstation re-loaded and now they run update 15. In update 15 this method has somehow broke, the referenced saved view in the 2D file will not display as the display style it was given (hidden realistic) in the reference dialog box. Again, we are not having any issue when using update 13 or 14, this seems to be only happening in update 15. I know many probably don't do this exact same workflow but has anyone experienced something like this? Is this fixed in the newest version of update 15?
