I have encountered an odd situation using FDOT fonts in Microstation CONNECT. Our client requires this font using sentence case (upper & lower combo), but every time I type a word containing a double f in lower case letters, such as "offset", the text disappears. The problem does not occur with other fonts, nor all upper case. See screen shot for example. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and determined a cause/solution? Thanks.
I don't do any work with Florida, but I do know they actually have discussion forums here where you may be able to find an answer to your question:

I tried this with my FDOT Connect and it's working for me. I'd re-download the FDOTConnect install and pull the fonts out and replace yours, they maybe corrupt.

I tried several of the FDOT fonts including FDOT, FDOT Mono, FDOT Vert
I just had this same issue. I was advised by a coworker to use MicroStation V8i to print. Apparently the letters are still there but just don't show in MicroStation CONNECT. Definitely needs to be fixed..
This issue was reported in Defect (Bug) # 735382 and was only reproducible with the custom FDOT True Type Fonts. You might like to contact FDOT using the above link to their Bentley Communities forum.

Has this issue ever been fixed? I've tried all of the known solutions here, and we are still having the issue. It's been roughly 2 years now, and we are getting to the point where we have no way around this. Previously we were able to continue using V8i for bridge drawings, but as it is no longer supported/cannot be downloaded to new PCs, we're stuck using ORD. Which, we've honestly used ORD for years now, it's just we were being forced to go back to V8i because of this issue when it came to structural projects.
