How do you remove a callout to a referenced design model on a sheet, CONNECT automatically places the callout on the sheet when I attached the reference. I just switched to using the CONNECT edition from V8i, and can not figure out how to remove the callout.
Sounds like you're describing the "Drawing Boundary" element. It gets placed when you attach a reference file. You can just select it and delete it. It will ask if you want to detach the reference, just say no. To avoid this in future, simply change the Drawing Boundary to none at the time you attach it. I've asked Bentley how to permanently turn this "feature" off, no answer.

This may be an "old school" method but I solved this through a User Command File.
I placed the following variables in our Organization cfg file:
MS_UCM > $(_USTN_ORGANIZATION)ucm/ MS_INIT = SectionCallout.ucm
Then I made a text file called SectionCallout.ucm with the following text in it and placed it in the UCM directory:
KEY 'REFERENCE SET DRAWINGBOUNDARY NONE'
Hello Kelsey
Change the following Config Variable MS_REF_DEFAULTSETTINGS by adding the following drawingBoundary=none
Hope this helps.
Yes, this was added since OP. Works as well! (bonus)
Yes, there are some more "presets" you can tweak with this variable. e.g I also like to (mostly) "Save Relative Path" Check the description in the Configuration Variables dialog.
