Is there a way to set the color table back to default and attach it through a command prompt or vba? I've tried both ways and it won't actually attach it through the MicroStation key in, it will only bring up the dialogue. I had a code for this that used to work for V7. Any ideas are welcome.
There seems to be some issues with these CT key-ins in CONNECT edition. Have to check if it is resolved in latest version.
For example attaching colortable which has different background color didn't work when using key-in.
Which .tbl are you loading? Where are you loading it from? It won't be in the same place I posted above. The default table would be routed to: CT=C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\Default\Data\color.tbl; FILEDESIGN
Let me know if that doesn't work. Thanks, Cole DeBolt
If you just want the background to be white, there's a toggle command that goes from black to white and toggles back and forth. I'd put them both in a function key in, startup file...
this toggles between black and white background:
mdl keyin calculat calculator userPrefsP->extFlags.invertBackground=!userPrefsP->extFlags.invertBackground;Update All;Expand Echo BG Toggled
If you need a specific background color command, please let me know.
So workflow is as follows:
dwg-seed.dwg
CT-gray-BG.tbl
It didn't work for me either way.. I noticed you replaced color black (BG) with gray. It would not change until I unselected these two checked boxes from the seed file and saved the seed file.. once done, it does take the CT= command. I would just save and uncheck those in the seed file. Which you could also do in a key in. Those will prioritize over the Color table.
These two keyins will turn the two boxes off I mentioned:
mdl keyin calculat calc userPrefsP->useColorOverrideDesignModelBg=0 mdl keyin calculat calc userPrefsP->useColorOverrideDrawingModelBg=0
In case I wasn't clear, this worked for me:
mdl keyin calculat calc userPrefsP->useColorOverrideDesignModelBg=0; mdl keyin calculat calc userPrefsP->useColorOverrideDrawingModelBg=0; CT= C:\temp\CT-gray-BG.tbl; FILEDESIGN
