I am experiencing a problem when I clip a referenced saved view, using an element or fence to form the clip. The boundary of the clip creates a line where it crosses the 3D solids of the saved view that has been referenced in, as shown in the image below.
All suggestions welcome.

It would be helpful if you could identify the version of MicroStation that you're currently using as this may affect the answers provided in relation to your issue.
MicroStation Forum best practices
The display of this line on the edge may be an issue with the version of MicroStation that is being used but may also be associated with how you have clipped the referenced 3D object. It would be helpful if you could provide an example so we can test this operation.

Hi Andrew. Thanks for the reply. I have MS Connect Update 14 Version 10.14.02.01
Hi. This is the method I use. I reference a saved view created from a 3d model seed file into a 2d seed file, with title block and border, this is my presentation file. I draw a perimeter, normally a rectangle around the area of the saved view I want to seem then use clip reference to remove everything outside this area. I could try using a mask but the reference clip should work and it does normally.
Have you tried 'Optimized Fence Clipping' preference switch to see if this helps, also is the Reference attachment 'Dynamic' what happens if you change to 'cached' (see also this blog)
May be you can upload a sample for others to review or raise a Service Request.

Hey Carl. Thanks for the reply! I wasn't aware of this optimized fence clipping but having just had a look via your link, that looks interesting and useful. I will try in the future.
As for the issue I raised. I temporarily solved by using a 'mask' instead and that worked. Usually I revert to the cached attachment when i have problems with views but I forgot to try that in this instance. I haven't worked on that file for a while but due again later today. I will let you know how I get on. Regards,
