I am experiencing a problem when I clip a referenced saved view, using an element or fence to form the clip. The boundary of the clip creates a line where it crosses the 3D solids of the saved view that has been referenced in, as shown in the image below.
All suggestions welcome.

It would be helpful if you could identify the version of MicroStation that you're currently using as this may affect the answers provided in relation to your issue.

The display of this line on the edge may be an issue with the version of MicroStation that is being used but may also be associated with how you have clipped the referenced 3D object. It would be helpful if you could provide an example so we can test this operation.

Hi. This is the method I use. I reference a saved view created from a 3d model seed file into a 2d seed file, with title block and border, this is my presentation file. I draw a perimeter, normally a rectangle around the area of the saved view I want to seem then use clip reference to remove everything outside this area. I could try using a mask but the reference clip should work and it does normally.
ok - so you still want to show an edge - you just want to redefine how its drawn.
IE: show as a "cut" edge - similar to a match line on a roadway going from one sheet to another.

Hi. Yeah - a little like that. On the image attached. The blue line represents the cllip boundary and the yellow highlighting indicates lines that are drawn on the active file or paperspace.
you may want to look into clip volumes and their settings.

Hi. I will re-read this actually but my clipping issue is in relation to clipping a 'saved view', not in the modelling environment.
And I probably should revisit this section especially: Using Saved Views (bentley.com)
you may be able to get the clip volumes to display the way you need and not need to clip the reference/saved view.
