Hello everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum.
I am having a problem when running a simple batch process script that finds and replaces text through the command line.
When I try to run it using the command line:
C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation>msbatch batchprocess C:\Users\...\eclipse-workspace\MicroStation\testing.bprc
it starts the MicroStation text window and says the following:
Processing Batch Process Job: C:\Users\...\eclipse-workspace\MicroStation\testing.bprc
log4net:ERROR XmlHierarchyConfigurator: Cannot find Property [createpath] to set object on [log4net.Appender.RollingFileAppender]
testing.bprc
[SETTINGS=bpOptions] logFile=_USTN_OUT:batchprocess.log cmdFileName=C:\Users\...\eclipse-workspace\MicroStation\test\temp_findAndReplace.txt clearLog=1 initialModel=-35[SOURCE=Q:\Automation\...\test.dgn][MODEL=:AllModels:]

BatchProcess: 6 files processed Total processing time 0.0 secondsEnd Time 6/17/21 11:25:58 AM
The text inside the file does not get changed at all. If I run the same bprc file through the Batch Process dialog, it works properly. Does anyone have any idea why it is not working through the command line?
The Log4Net Error appears it is related to an "accidental development debug trace that remained enabled" in MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 15). The next release will address this issue which is due for release very soon.
log4net error when calling mdlSystem_newDesignFile in MicroStation 10.15.00.74
Also, there is a Defect raised for the Batch Process not working as expected at a Command Prompt.
Defect 1088750: VBA does not work with MSbatch ( cmd line Batch Process )

Hi Reginald Wallace , Andrew Bell , we were looking to automate some workflows using the TopoDOT extension. Mauricio Terneus from TopoDOT highlighted this issue and that they had tested out these workflows without success, and indicated this defect is still open. Could you advise on the status of this defect please (if it's resolved (if so in which version of Microstation), or if it's still open - if so is it being worked on?
We will submit a service request as advised to the existing bug report.
The log4net error appears to have gone into our development teams new ADO system as:
Bug 812993: Batchconvert error log4net.
This will be fixed in a future release. Most likely the next major 2023 version.
