FYI, It appears that Microstation CE Update 15.0 still works on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, but Microstation CE Update 15.2 and Update 16 do not work on Windows 7.
If you just run the 2MB installer program that is downloaded from the Bentley website, after quite a while, you will get a message that you need a newer version of Windows.
With Mstn CE U16, if you create a deployment package, it appears to install o.k. When I opened Microstation the first time, it crashed before it even asked me what file to open.
Update 13 was the last version of CONNECT certified for use with Windows 7 and required SP1 be installed.

Are you running the MSI files or the setup.exe depending on which you may be bypassing the check to see if OS is supported.
If you check the readme, you will see that MicroStation 15.2 and 16 are not certified for Windows 7
I liked Windows 7, better than 10, wanted to keep it. But I upgraded when I built my last box, processor wanted Windows 10. Believe it's under $200, peanuts compared to Bentley fees. But if you're inconvenienced by this you should at least try it, it may be fine. It may be O.K. to just run r13, they really haven't fixed much (of course one bug can be a show stopper)..
Connect r17 10.17.00.209 self-employed
please also see the following note under the supported OS for Connect
When I started this thread, it asked me if this was a discussion or a question. I selected "discussion" because the entire purpose of this thread was to let users know that attempting to install Microstation CE Update 15.2 and higher on a Windows 7 machine will not be successful.
I apologize if I implied a question or implied a complaint. This was just meant to be a statement of fact for other users.
