Hi Everyone,
Anybody knows why AccuDraw does not rotate properly with some of the references (when using RE command)?
With one reference on my 3D model it works properly as shown on the screenshot below
but with other references as below
My AccuDraw settings are as follow:
There is no issues with RE command when using MicroStation V8i.
Hard to tell from the images what 2 curves/edges intersect snap is using.
It looks like RE is only finding an x axis direction from the intersect snap, so "up" should be coming from AccuDraw's current "base" rotation. Is your base rotation "Auxillary" in both cases...and is the view's ACS oriented to the XY plane in both cases...it looks like the base rotation might be "view" for the 2nd case?
Does using a different snap mode like keypoint give a better result?

Hi Brien,
Thanks for your feedback.
Both screenshots comes from the same file and captured one after the other one. When I snap to one reference, AccuDraw is working properly as shown on first screenshot.. When I snap to other references from the same file it rotates as shown on the second screenshot. So the base rotation is exactly the same. No issues if I open the same model in MicroStation V8i and follow the same steps.
Changing snap mode does not give better result.
I just migrated from V8i to Connect today.

Jacek
If you want to post a simple test case (empty master with ref that just contains the grey block in the 2nd case) I can have a look at what RE is doing.
That would be great. Really appreciated. Can you please let me know how I can upload DGN files?
4061.Master.dgnRef 1.dgnRef 2.dgn
Please reference Ref 1 & 2 into Master DGN. RE commands works fine when snapping to Ref 2.
