Is there anybody who can create a custom 3D linestyle using mesh element? I have try many way to create a custom 3D linestyle with a mesh element and it's not working. It was working fine in V8i SS4. So is this a known bug? The reason I want to use mesh element is that when I drop the line it retain the 3D element as objects.
Anybody have a workaround?
Thanks for your time.
Regards
ps: I'm using Microstation Connect update 16 now.

Are you sure you working with a mesh? Or the element is a parametric solid?

It's a known issue trying to create 3d linestyle with parametric solids.

They don't work well with the new boolean operation kernel implemented in CE.

Probably you don't need a mesh, and you can convert them to smart solids.
If your objects are parametric solids you can also convert them to smart solids using Convert Solid in Search Ribbon or under Solids\Solid Utilities\Convert Solid.
Hope this helps and regards

There is a known Defect 975070 which remains open at this time see this thread

Hi, thanks for taking the time to help me on this. Yes the points are mesh elements. I wanted mesh element because when I'm exporting my model to dwg I can drop the lines element and retain the 3D elements. I will try again with this version (update 16) but last time I checked when droping 3D lines make with solids it become all lines and no more solids. All the points elements are drop to lines.
Thanks again
