I have created a table seed where all column widths and row heights are locked in the properties. When I go to place a table using that table seed, some of the column widths remain locked as intended and some are unlocked and thus much wider to accommodate the text string. Any ideas why this would be happening? I've rebuilt the table seed for good measure and am finding the same issue.
Hi Steven, Thanks for reporting this issue. I was able to reproduce this on MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 16 Version 10.16.00.80When property for 'width lock' is set to 'true' in the table seed, at the time of placement of table in dgn, column width is getting wider to accommodate text.
The desired behavior should be as follows(taking from MicroStation help document) docs.bentley.com/.../GUID-E4B2CC47-3DED-419B-B548-636F6DC596A3.htmlWidth Lock set to True - The column width stays constant and the text is word-wrapped.Width Lock set to False - The column width gets larger to accommodate a long line of text.
Bug #659971 is already logged and approved for this issue. To increase its priority to be fixed, raise a service ticket asking it to be linked with bug number.
Thank you for confirming Karan. A work around I have found in the meantime is to just set what is really the header row as a second "title" row. That seems to help bring in the column widths from the table seed and hold them. I had to turn off title row text style formatting though and have it just pull from the body formatting. Then I went in the title row and manually changed the text style in text editor to what I wanted it to be. Seems like it is an ok workaround for now.
