Is there any ECW writer license limits for Microstation? Is it 500MB, 1Gpix or 1000Gpix?
Maybe it is written in this article but can't open it.
Hi Oto
Not sure where you may have obtained this link. It appears to be linking to an Administrators Wiki that I cannot locate either. Maybe if you could expand on what you are trying to achieve in MicroStation in relation to these ECW write license limits. Are you receiving any error messages or limitation when attaching an ECW raster?
Just to remind you also that you should always provide details of the version of software you're using.

Simple question are there any ECW size limits for saving raster to ECW? MicroStation version is irrelevant as there are no notice that there are any changes to ECW support.
Asking if this is applies to MicroStation - geospatialcommunity.hexagon.com/.../License-for-reading-or-writing-ECW-in-third-party-software

When saving to ECW you have 4 levels of compression (from high to minimum loss) available, but I found no information on the possible output file size limit (I'm referring to CONNECT Edition). You do have input file size limit of 10 GB when saving to ECW though, see more here:

Thanks so it seems to be based on size, will check. Somehow missed that notice.
If I have ECW SDK can these limits lifted similar to GDAL options?
ECW_ENCODE_KEY=key: (v4.x SDK or higher) Provide the OEM encoding key to unlock encoding capability up to the licensed gigapixel limit. The key is approximately 129 hex digits long. The Company and Key must match and must be re-generated with each minor release of the SDK. It may also be provided globally as a configuration option.
ECW_ENCODE_COMPANY=name: (v4.x SDK or higher) Provide the name of the company in the issued OEM key (see ECW_ENCODE_KEY). The Company and Key must match and must be re-generated with each minor release of the SDK. It may also be provided globally as a configuration option.
BTW doesn't seem that Microstation/Descartes can even handle 10GB conversion as it never finishes conversion.
