I wonder if and when Microstation Powerdraft CE16 will be released. It didn't get a 15.2 release, too. Not to speak of the German localization...

P.S. As developer, I see one unquestionable advantage: There will be no more confusions "why this tool / application does not work with PD" and "sorry, it's not possible to write a code for PD".

It appears that Bentley does not really want to support drafting any more, which still is for many customers the most substantial bulk of work(?).
My few cents:In an ideal world everything CAD should become Digital Twins/iTwins/BIM ...
Pragmatically I guess 2D drafting will be around for the foreseeable future. (Sure the margins there are tight due to competition.)
New users look for "cheap" entry fees. Many fresh users yet are also the future workforce. Workforce availability often is driving which products are purchased.
On the other hand OO clients are still not there with Digital Twins, not by a long way - not even in Greenfield Projects. Given the mass of 2D drawings in the inventory being basis of most brownfield works the transition still lags far behind.
