MS CE 14.
Hi.
I have enabled the "symbology preview" in the Attributes Toolbox. When a LineStyle is active then I can see its preview there.
However, I want to see the preview of each selected LineStyle (up/down keyboard buttons) so I open the Line Styles dialog from "Settings..."
The issue is the preview on this window is always a "continuous" line because it does not zoom like "symobology preview" does.
Is there any way to solve this?
Thanks.
Also I don´t understand why MicroStation does not show a preview next to each LineStyle name when we drop down the listbox (LineStyles) in the ribbon:
And this is AutoCAD:
In "Utilities" tab--- "Drawing Scale" group, change the Annotation Scale of the Model to "Full Size 1:1" then open the "Line Styles" dialog. If you have already open the dialog, close it to update the annotation scale.
When Annotation Scale is "Full Size 1=1" then .rsc style lines are showed accordingly.
I too have had the same problem with the scale in the preview window. I have never been able to figure that one out. I hope there is a fix for this because it’s been annoying for at least 15 years.
Hi Joan,

Can you check how scale and annotation setting(s) are configured in your active model?
I do not see such behavior in my MicroStation CE U16: Linestyles are displayed the same both in dialog and attributes preview, so I guess there should be something in the setting - model (e.g. global linestyle scale) or linestyle(s) itself. Of course also possibility it's a bug in CE U14 you use.

I see preview in the Line Styles dialog but most of the Line Styles seems a "continuous" line and they are not. I would like that the appearence of this preview was similar to "Symbology preview" in the Attributes Toolbox. You can see my first picture in the first post.
Use Autocad. or .... You should see preview in the Line Styles dialog. The reason you can't must have something to do with the location of that linecode (err.dgn). The dialog is what we use in Microstation if we need to see what a linestyle looks like.
