Does anyone know if Microstation V8i can connect with Oracle 19c?
One of our clients works at this moment with a connection between Microstation V8i and Oracle 12c. And wants to upgrade the Oracle environment to Oracle 19c.

As far as I can make out, Oracle 19 was released in 2019. The most recent release of MicroStation V8i is SS10, released at about the same time in early 2019. It's unlikely that Bentley Systems had sufficient time to update the DB interface of MicroStation V8i to work with Oracle 19.
MicroStation CONNECT also fails, apparently, with Oracle 19. Vote for this Idea (MS-I-115) to make it work!

Hi Jip,
as Jon wrote, Oracle 19c is not supported in MicroStation V8i, and because this MicroStation generation is obsolete (only V8i SS10 is supported until January 1st 2022), it's not expected such support will be added.
Accordingly to this discussion, Oracle 19 support is planned for MicroStation CE Update 17 (the current version us Update 16), but it should be checked with Bentley support.
Surprisingly OpenCities Map CE Update 16, released this week (and based on the current power platform CE U16), supports Oracle 19c for spatial connection. So evidently Bentley are aware of existence of this version ;-)
