I'm running CONNECT version & when I try to change an existing dimension's properties, basically the entire drawing disappears. Please assist!
Can you provide a little more details on this issue? Is it MicroStation or Powerdraft and what CONNECT version? What properties are you changing and what exactly dissapears? A screenshot before the change would help.
It's Microstation CONNECT version 16.Trying to change entire dimension to a different type dimension I created (its an existing dimension I was trying to change to the newly created one.I also tried to input the newly created dimension from scratch, but it did the same...
This is what the drawing is supposed to look like:
Hi Karin,
if you use Select all (Ctrl + A) can you see the elements highlighted in your drawing? can you see the elements if you do a fit all
I am trying to find out if the elements are just hidden or there is no elements at all.
also what color did you apply to the dimension style? did you change the scale factor?
Regards
Maria
Yes, all is highlighted if selected.
So that means the elements are still there. I understood the elements were gone.
Please provide a screen shot after doing Select all and let us know if all elements in the drawing are affected or only the dimensions.
Provide also the workflow you are following to change the old dimension style with new one. A small video showing exactly what you are doing could help.
I have seen something like this when the text size is set incorrectly for the annotation scale that is applied, especially when the text has a background. The text is scaled up impossibly big, blocking out much of what would be underneath it. That may not be the case here, but it's worth checking the text size in your dimension style, and if the text has a background.
