Just come across a new bug (for me) in CE today.
When GO= is set too far away from design cube origin, "center of mass" will be display in wrong location when using "measure volume" tool (similarly, wrong "centroid" location for "measure area" tool). I haven't got time to pin point the threshold of how far is "too far".
What I see and expect in V8i SS10 - 08.11.09.931:
What I see in CE 10.16.00.080:
If it's a known (not yet known) defect, would be great if I can get the defect number. If it's not a defect, an advice to get the correct centre of mass in CE for the attached file would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Tuan Le

Hi Thuan,
I checked your file and for me, it works correctly. (MicroStation Update 16)
However, there is BUG659406 that is related to the same issue found in Microstation Connect Edtion 10.12.00.40 and instead in Microstation V8i SS3 works correctly.
Could please create another sphere or try to create another .dgn and test it again?
Regards,
Benedetta
Hi Benedetta,
My apology, seems I grab the wrong file. Attached is the updated file with shifted GO.

Hi Tuan,
thank you for your file, now I can reproduce the issue. Could I ask if this happens only with this file? I noticed that this .dgn was created in OpenBuilding Designer, could I ask which version?
The issues seems to exists in both OpenBuilding and MS. so you can use MS CE 10.16.00.080 for your reference.
SR 7001303117 raised.
As I notified you, this issue is linked with the BUG 659406: Solid's Center is not measured correctly in CE. I will keep you updated on the ticket that you raised.
Thank you very much for reporting this issue.
