Hi.
Why if I select a Dimension style (blue triangle icon) and then right-click to select "Update From Library", that Dimension style does not update? Icon does not change to green stick?
If I do this in a "Text Style" dialog with an style (bule triangle icon) and then "Update from Library", it works...
Hi Joan, what version you are using? I tested this in Update 16 and it seems to be working fine.
OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition - 2020 Release 3 - Version 10.14.04.04 Windows x64
I think is MS CE 14
When I do "Update from library" on a style (with a blue triangle) seems that it does "Save"...
Could you confirm if this is another bug?
In the "Advanced" tab of the Dimension Styles dialog, if you select 2 local copy styles and Mode is Comparison or Differences, you cannot edit any value of the properties (is just READONLY) whereas in a Text Styles dialog in the same "Advanced" tab you are allowed to edit any value of the style in Comparison or Differences Modes.
Thanks.
Even some items works really bad when we "Save" the Dimension Style.
For example, in the "Text" tab, if we change "Text Frame" to Box or None several times (saving each time), it does not updates the Note en in the drawing...
There is no bug logged for this. It also seems to be working the same way in V8i. I will need to ask developers whether this is WAD (works as designed) or not.
Joan try to post one issue per thread so that other user would not get confused :)https://communities.bentley.com/help/w/be_communities_help/4413/communities-forums-best-practices-and-tips

What? Did you actually test it out in V8i before posting that?
It's actually completely the opposite to what you have just said and works exactly you would expect. Evidently yet another bug in CONNECT.
Hi Barry, apologies but this is exactly why we need separate threads for separate issues. I was responding to the previous comment regarding Dimension Style comparisons...
Hi Robert,
Understood, fully agree regarding separate posts for different issues.
