Why don´t update Text elements when I save the Text Style?

I'm not sure...But it could be related to the fact that the other two already had text height "overridden" from the the text style, so that override doesn't get changed.

If that's so, then that could be WAD (Works as designed) because we DON'T always want every change to the text style perpetuated if we have overridden it for a reason. For example, I change justification points fairly frequently to meet my needs, and I do not want that to change if I need to make an alteration to the style.

I can't say for sure however.

I think that the "WAD" is:

If you add text with a saved text style then that text will update if you edit later the style and save it.

If you try to add text with an unsaved text style, then it remains exactly the same even if you save the text style.

So if I want that each text updates according to the last modification of the text style then I have to save the style every time before typing the text...

1) close the Text editor, open the "Text Style dialog", make change in some properties and save the style.

2) Add Text with that saved text style

3) Repeat step 1 and 2.....

Even if we "Save" the text style with the Text Editor open (and a text ready to place), actually you are placing a text style if it was an unsaved text style.  This is the reason why we have to close the Text Editor..

MicroStation does not work as AutoCAD does.

In AutoCAD, if we replace the text style (in the properties palette) to another text style, a property which is common in the properties palette and in the "Text Style dialog" can be overriden its value from the user (from the properties palette) but then if we choose another text style it load it completely.

As you said, it is the Text style override settings, so changes of the user remains in the properties palette even changing to another text style.

To solve this, in the properties palette, I assign Text style= None and then I select my destination text style.
