When switching active levels using the attributes tool bar is it possible to have the associated attributes change with selected level? They are already set in the Level manager. I used to be able to do this in the past. Example. My active level is "Trees" and is the color "green". I need to change the active level to "sidewalk" which uses the color "yellow". In the past when I would switch between levels the associated attributes would change at the same time. Now I have to change the level and the attributes separately. using v8i 10
There is an MDL program delivered with V8i SS10 that does what you need - synchbylevel.ma
Just load that MDL and it will automatically set your color, weight, and line style attributes to bylevel every time you change levels.
Note: In the CONNECT Edition this it has been added as a User Preference under the Operations category.

Thank you! Is there a list that explains the various MDLs?
Nothing that I've seen. Some of these are loaded automatically by various tools.
Hi Sarah,

The mdl applications, stored in mdlsys folder, are part of MicroStation itself. Often they are equal to MicroStation user tool or a group of tools (e.g 2Dmodify.ma contains implementation of 2D modification tools like Insert vertex).
There is no list of all MDLs, because there is no reason for that: MicroStation loads them when needed, because specific user tool should be started.
