Copy/Increment text

Question

Hello all, 
 Does MicroStation has a tool to Copy/Increment letters (A, B, C...)? 
 I found a forum about this subject from 2011, before Connect. communities.bentley.com/.../copy-increment-text 
 At the time a VBA was the solution.

Hi Marina, The only way I really know without using VBA is the solution shown in the screen shot I did here. For example, if you have a group of letter A's and you want to change all of them to B, you can place a fence around the letter A's, choose the 'Find/Replace Text' option and type A into the find box and B into the replace making sure 'use fence' is ticked. This will update all at once. 
 If you're looking for more of an auto-update....A copy B copy C copy etc. I'm afraid VBA would be the only way I'm aware of. It only seems to be quick and simple doing this with something of numerical value. I've no idea why now in Connect we don't have this simple option to do this with letters as well as numbers as it would be very useful.

 Probably because nobody has sought such a tool. Propose an Idea !
