In microstation connect edition, when placing a reference file, how do you show the handles for manipulation, can do it in V8i but can't fathom how to do it in Connect edition?
that doesn't work either, not that you need that on anyway, in microstation v8i you don't need that for the handles to appear, you just need to ensure it is in presentation mode before you insert the reference
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61
ORD - 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
ORD 2022 R1.1 - 10.11.3.2
ORD 2022 R3 - 10.12.2.4
Microstation v8i SS 10 - 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615
ProjectWise - 10.0.3.453
Yeah I can confirm this is it. Handles will show once this is done. Thanks Tim.
Tim Hickman said: second - the hilite mode needs to be set to something other than "none",
I agree with the other steps, but this is incorrect as handles appear perfectly well with 'None' enabled as the Hilite Mode (or is this a CONNECT edition requirement only)?
Doesn't work on Connect unless something other than none is selected.
Sounds like a bug, hard to think of a reason why it would be purposely changed to require that.
Works for me in CONNECT. Do you have Treat Reference as Element Enabled? If you don't then the selection tool will only select individual elements within the reference.
Yeah I do. I think it's a bug as I've not been updated to the latest Connect version yet. I couldn't get it to work without first selecting something other than none.
Chances are that its a known issue and was fixed in Update 16.
This works the same in Power InRoads SS2 as it does for CONNECT U15 for me. I either need to have the reference Hilte Mode set to something other than None or have Treat Attachment as Element enabled to be able to edit the clip boundary.
