I recently got a new workstation PC for my work, and since then the small window displaying element type and its level that appears when you hover over an object just won't appear. It's quite essential for the efficiency of my work, and any solutions I've tried so far haven't worked. I've tried scouring the options and settings, and have yet to discover a solution. Am I experiencing a genuine error or malfunction, or is there somewhere one unchecked box in the settings? I'm working with Connect Edition if that helps.

It does help! In fact, it's essential knowledge, because we're currently on the 16th Upgrade of CONNECT and there have been many modifications and bug fixes since it was first released in 2015. We need to know what we're dealing with.
Use key-in VERSION to see the version no. in the MicroStation Message Center, or Help→About MicroStation in the backstage.
VERSION
See this blog that shows you how to obtain MicroStation's version number.

I'm working with version 15, update 10.15.00.74
Did you click the link in my reply to see if that is the issue you are trying to describe? It is the same setting in CONNECT
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61
ORD - 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
ORD 2022 R1.1 - 10.11.3.2
ORD 2022 R3 - 10.12.2.4
Microstation v8i SS 10 - 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615
ProjectWise - 10.0.3.453
Yes. Bewilderingly, I can't find settings for AccuSnap. I can find settings for AccuDraw, but that's a different thing. I'm using Microstation in finnish though, but I don't believe that should be an issue here.
At the bottom of the Microstation window is a snap icon. Left click on that. Then there is a little drop down arrow to click to access the settings

Thank you, it's been solved. Turns out I (for some reason) had the pop-up window set as "tentative" instead of "automatic". Now I can finally get back to work proper.
