Hello,
During collaboration involving many many models with many many changes a designer should be able to spot changes in reference files with aid of the software. Is something like this possible in Microstation?
Imagine there is 30km model of road and one column changed its location. It is impossible for a designer to spot the change when the reference is updated after it had been changed. There must be a dedicated tool for this.
I have seen latest versions of Autocad has this feature called dwg compare which probably does what i am talking about but i have not seen how it works with 3D.
Thanks

What can I write that isn't in MicroStation help?
There are a number of viewing and recovery options. You can:
That's a large topic.

Design History is that dedicated tool.

It seems promising. I will test it. Thanks
In the CONNECT Edition you can set up a Display Style with a Display Rule that simply checks the Modified Date on all elements. No design history, file comparision needed.

Let's be clear, my suggestion may be similar to a feature of Design History, but its not the same whatsoever.
Design History's implementation of highlighting changes to elements that are either New/Deleted/Modified is not the same as my suggestion. My suggestion is a 'broader strokes' approach that can be used in all situations, whereas Design History cannot.
i like this light approach
does it work with referenced files and inside projectwise?
so modified date of every element is stored defaultly in dgn right?
