I am trying to connect to Oracle database ( Drawing > Attach > Database > Connect to Database ) via ODBC. ODBC connection is setup already and I get message on Message center ' Database server is not active'
Any idea what is missing ?

Product details!
What is the exact version no. (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation that you are using? Use key-in VERSION to see the version no. in the MicroStation Message Center, or Help→About MicroStation in the backstage.
VERSION
See this blog that shows you how to obtain MicroStation's version number.

1) We are using Oracle server 19C 2) we have both 32 and 64 version of ODBC3) We do not have Oracle client on machine but we are making connection via ODBC
Microstation version : 10.15.0.74
The following information located in the MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 15) Help Documentation shows the versions of Oracle that are supported. It does not appear that "Oracle server 19C" is supported in this version of MicroStation.

Andrew, we are aware Microstation version 10.15.0.74 does not support Oracle 19C. We are using Microstation version 10.13.3.4 update 13 on our server as this is compatible with Oracle 19C.
All our clients machine use version 10.15.0.74.
Issue here is on our client machines with version 10.15.0.74 we are trying to connect to Oracle database ( Drawing > Attach > Database > Connect to Database ) via ODBC. ODBC connection is setup already but we get message on Message center ' Database server is not active'. Wondering what is missing and what we need to do to fix this issue
If the "19C" data base is not supported, then it is not supported. Your client machines run a version of Microstation that does not support "19C", and so probably do not function with that database. There is nothing you can do to make 10.15.0.74 support a file that version doesn't support. I do not think there is any way to "trick" the software.
You could change those computers to whatever version DOES recognize your file, or you could change your database file to a supported version.

Thanks Mary, I will try to find solution for this issue as it is not possible to change to another Microstation version due to compatibility issues with other Bentley products we are using
