Hi Everyone,
I have the following error when trying to add an expression in properties.
Does anyone know what is causing this error and how this can be fixed?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Jacek

I've also seen that bewildering message and wondered what it means! You're not defining an array, but an Item Type property of type text where IsArray is false. Others have reported that same error (search this Forum for Expression).

In these times of snowflake personalities, perhaps the Expression is upsetting to MicroStation? What is the Expression you attempted to submit?

Hi Jon,
Thanks for your feedback.
I was trying to insert any mathematical operation to see how it works as this is something new to me and I would like to learn more. I was able to enter the mathematical operation in this line direcly and it works. It only shows the error when you click on three dots, that appears at the end of the line, when the line is selected.

OK, but the error message is confusing and irrelevant. In an attempt to encourage the MicroStation developers to improve the messages provided to users, it's a good idea to report your problem formally by submitting a Service Request (SR).
Perhaps Mangesh.Shelar (he's the Item Types/Expressions guru) could comment?
There was a bug in the expression system which we fixed already. Please confirm the Microstation or vertical product version you are using.
