I imagine this has been asked before, but I don't know the proper terms to search.
I bring in data from other applications, and occasionally I get text that is not manipulable in the normal fashion. I'm thinking I'm missing something obvious. Not interesting in using annotation scale, just a simple method to adjust the size using Height and Width (shown below)
Please share information on what application you got this file from and what is the latest version you used when you came across with this issue.
Thanks,
Connie Wallace

But if this is just a local style an only in the active drawing then edit the height and width to what you want in the panel youve shown and save so it updates...
Hmmm but I thought in the place text command you can select the style and keyin anysize you want..
Can you explain better what you mean by not manipulable in normal fashion? .... have you tried properties of the text element and tried to change it there?

Maybe you just need to set the units (eg to mm instead of meters) Looks like the text actually has a size. This happens often to me with files from external sources.
Don't know if this is related.
I have problem changing text size in a dgn-file saved from a dwg (CE U16.1). These all have the Standard Text Style attached. If I use Change Text Attribute with just width and height the width is set to 0.0. This works fine in SS10.
