Hei
I am Powerdraft-user
In a letter form Bentley it says that they will be quitting Powerdraft and the Powerdraft-users can switch to Micostation with out any cost. Can someone tell me when I can do this and how?
Best regards Sigridur

Hi David
Thank you for the link. the facts still stand... Bentley want to force PD users to use MS, but what they fail to tell the users is their (SELECT) maintenance cost that is twice the value of PD.
in 2021 - 5 x PD @£586.00= £2930.00in 2022 - 5 x PD @732.50 = £3662.50 a 25% increase and NO development, NO new updates for the last 2 years and next year and onwards. WASTED ££££
Take the MS offer
1 x PD = 1 x MS thank you
however, 5 x MS @ £1197 = £5985.00. so from £2930.00 to £5985.00 seems like a good deal to me NOT
so for no benefit what so ever your users are being screwed for using software they do not need... PD is more than capable of turning out 2d files and has been since it was first releast back in the 90's
As a side note: Autodesk and Trimble recently did the same. However, they offered their users a deal to allow them to use the better software but keep their maintenance at the same rate for 3+ years
come on Bentley think about your users rather than £££££££££££
The last release of PD was Feb/March 2020. it is almost December of 2021. for me that is closer to 2 years than 1 year. Bentley have said there will NOT be another release. They did originally say CE 16.2 will be Q1 2022, but then we got the letter saying NOT
So continuous support means no support?
For an explanation of these support categories, please refer to the Bentley Desktop Application Support Policy.
And it doesn't explain.

Typical. Same happened to PowerCivil for Baltics.
so if you need support, they will help you. if you find a BUG.. its tuff.. live with it, we cannot hear you, you do not exist. give us £££ we will talk to you
This may help clearing your issue with release dates...
Dates should be in ISO standard but who uses standards anyway.

But where did you find such explanation?
So we can start to collect money for Powerdraft update as paid customization?
