Microstation Connect Version 10.16.01.56
Why can't we turn of the fill colour in a multiline. It used to be that the multi line was placed on the active level along with the fill colour and you turn this level off the the colour fill was turned off leaving all the other parts to the multiline on. Now seems you have turn off all the levels within the multiline in order for the colour to be turned off. I have attached a tiypical multiline in a drawing file.
Many thanks in advance

your file the fill level works as intended in v8i for me.. in your user preferences check you can turn off active level.. by default you cant turn off active level... so if its the active level it wont turn off.. change your prefes and you can turn off active level

Thanks for your reply. It works okay in V8i but does not seem to work in Connect. The multi line is placed on level A-Ss-25-G-ExtWallType01 so is not the always the active layer.
There seems to have been a change in the way the colour fill operates between the two versions

If it is fine in V8i, but not in CONNECT, I would file a Service Ticket with Support.
They'll either be able to file a bug/regression, tell you a workaround, or say it works as designed...but either way, you will have registered with them that there is an issue and they might have a fix.

could you elaborate is it just for multilines or is it all objects with fill..?
I stopped using multiline in mstn 25+ years ago when I found it doesnt work with curves and arcs so not very versatile... and I believe even in CE it still doesn' t work with arcs and curves ( I haven' t bothered to check ) even though users have been asking for that since day one and every new edition of Mstn we ask for it to be included but as usual it seems be low priority to Bentley development teams(s)..

It is very high on their list and it is called OpenRoads. ;) Sooo... nope it will not likely be implemented in Mstn anytime soon.
