MS CE 16.1 - how to find out where a custom line style is stored?

Usually we store all our custom line styles in one .rsc.

But now there's two line styles that appear in my list that I can't find in any of the .rsc files stored in our company network. And of course these are the two I want to adjust.

Is there any way to find out exactly where these stem from?

  • Project Explorer also lists linestyles but is of no use. RSC workflow is so outdated.

  • I don't really use Project Explorer, but since you mention it I opened it in some files and looked at the line styles. There is very limited information. It does report whether the style is part of a dgn file or a Resource File, but it does not report the name of the file it resides in. You are correct that there is no real use at this point within PE.

I'd actually prefer to work with .rsc because updating line styles in a .dgnlib then pushing those changes to files is very cumbersome. The worst part about .rsc is the line style editor dialog.
