Usually we store all our custom line styles in one .rsc.
But now there's two line styles that appear in my list that I can't find in any of the .rsc files stored in our company network. And of course these are the two I want to adjust.
Is there any way to find out exactly where these stem from?
If you drop down the line style list, at the very bottom there are 2 options, Settings & Manage. Select Settings. A dialog will open and you can scroll through the list of line styles. When you highlight a line style it will show you the file path to the library or if the style is part of the active drawing it will show the path & name of the active file.

I have found that, too but it says the line style is in a .dgnlib. But I can't edit that line style in that dgnlib because the line style editor doesn't show it.
I am new to working with .dgnlib for line styles. I believe you need to import the line styles from the .dgnlib into a .rsc file. Make your edits to the line style then export it back out to the .dgnlib. Once done, all files that use that line style need to be updated for the change to be visible. I just read a few forum posts on it yesterday as we have a client that is using the .dgnlib for their line styles. It is not a cut & dry process. I would suggest searching "edit line style .dgnlib" for more information. Their may be some stuff in the help file, but from what I have seen it is vague. I'll see if I can find those articles and post links

That worked, thank you.
Glad it worked. Here is Part 3 of a series of line style blogs. This one deals with updating the line styles from the dgnlib to the dgn file.

Project Explorer also lists linestyles but is of no use. RSC workflow is so outdated.
For future reference the following articles detail finding where linestyles are stored and how to update those located in dgnlibs:

What are the advantages to saving linestyles to a dgnlib if you can't edit them?I mean, I guess that's an advantage in some ways...but if you cannot create nor edit linestyles in DGNLIB files, why do it? Why not stick with RSC files?

Why not stick with RSC fonts? Why use Truetype? Why we need more than 63 levels?
How CONNECT is more productve if we still use MSJ era workflows it is beyound me...
