Select Series 10 Version 08.11.09.919, Connect Client 11.00.04.15
Has anybody seen any crashes that don't involve Bentley crash windows, logs, trace logs, etc? I keep having my Bentley, I guess, "timing out" on me. It will have a circle spinning, then a note pops up that asks if I want to close or wait, but it is not a Bentley window. I haven't been able to catch a snapshot of it. I've sent all the logs and files, checked the licensing, and done all the steps Bentley support has asked. I have a sneaky suspicion it has something to do with net framework or run time even possibly. I'm up to date on all windows updates, I've even reinstalled MicroStation. I realize there isn't much to go on here, but if there's any other info I can post to help sort this out, please let me know.
Thank you

Bentley Systems is an incorporated company. Companies don't crash, unless you're referring to a catastrophe on the stock exchange.
As a headline, 'Bentley Crashing' is analogous to 'something went wrong'. This website is called Bentley Communities, so we already know that it involves Bentley products. Make your headline communicative. Condense your story into a one-liner, just like newspapers do.

What motivates that suspicion?

I don't know what else to call this problem. It is crashing, that's a fact. I had net framework issues with this software before. I couldn't fix the issue by installing the necessary prerequisites. I've seen this throughout the years a few times. The behavior was similar. I just did the update on net framework a few months ago when this started happening. I'd like to start using connect edition, but i don't like the interface.
Check Event Viewer.
Very funny Jon. You made me laugh!
As Oto posted, Event Viewer may give a clue.

Hi Cole,
You can refer to the following to collect event viewer logs,
How to collect Event logs
The one that would be of the most interest is the Application event viewer log, the System one is also helpful.
If you need to feel free to log a service request and we can take a look at them for you.
