hello everyone
im trying to import a survey file I received in a DWG format into my Microstation file but when i attach this reference they inform me that the active model is in survey feet and the attachment is in feet, due to this the attachment comes to a couple of feet away from location marked. im using the FDOT state kit SS10 and AutoCADD 3d Max 2021

Do you mean Autodesk AutoCAD or Autodesk 3D Studio Max?
Autodesk AutoCADD Civil 3D
AutoCAD Units do not always want to convert to MicroStation units. AutoCAD units aren't even really units in some ways.
You can try a couple of things.
When you attach the DWG file, try leaving the True Scale option on. See what that does. Try turning it off and see what that does. Try setting the scale factor to 1:1 after the DWG has been attached (if it defaults to anything else). You can try using the scale 1.000000:1.000002 in the reference dialog. Usually one of these accounts correctly for the unit discrepancy.
I believe you can also try opening the DWG in AutoCAD or C3D and looking in the Drawing Utilities for the Units setting. Not the Drawing Setting units - the Units format dialog. That has an option for Insertion Scale that can be set to Survey Feet and I think MicroStation can read that. This presumes of course, that the DWG file is actually drawn in survey feet...I've received a lot of DWG files where people didn't really pay attention to what units they were drawing with.

Would the following work flow work?
Create a new dgn Call it Drg A use US survey feet, Ref attach the Autocad dwg Drg B that is in survey. feet
Now Ref attach Drg A.dgn as a nested file to where ever you need it attached !:! nesting depth 1... I think logically that should work but I have no acad data or eve acad program at home to try it but worth a try....not sure you can nest ref a DWG but I don't see why not.
