I'm not a programmer, I'm using Microstation SS10 Geographic Coordinate System, when I use the command Capture Google Earth Image, pop up a question "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device" I answer yes and then I enter with the user name and password, nothing happens, it still doesn't show the aerial view. Any help anyone? Thank you!
Hi,
your question is not about programming,so I recommend to move it to normal MicroStation forum.
To move existing discussion to another forum, use More > Move tool, available under your original post.

Yes, does the same for me as well. I have a certain workflow I use when I'm forced to use the trashy hit or miss images from Google. I draw a box outlining the desired area, export it to KMZ, then capture an image using Google Earth (be sure to reset tilt and compass first). Then I reference it, warp it (the coordinate base is different) and even adjust it to an older real aerial image, if available.
But you should know, this has been much discussed, try some searching if you don't want to use the convoluted instruction I just provided.

Thank you. I have noticed, when using Microstation Connect Edition in view attributes background map works well, but this version doesn't work with InRoads.
There is really only one version of Google Earth that will work with MicroStation, especially SS10.
It v 7.1.8.3036 (if there is a choice between 32 or 64 bit, get the 32 bit) and is discussed in this thread (look for Max Voight). It is still available from the Google Earth download page.

There is also a wiki on how to do the capture Goggle earth into a microstation 3d file creates a mesh for its location.. then you basically go back to GE without changing the view use the save image then you can manually attach the image as a raster by the extents of the mesh.. I usually draw a box around the mesh delete the mesh and save as 2d and ref attach the raster manually then can use raster manager to create a Tiff or other format with a sister or world file so it wont get moved by accident and the non print boundary box I leave for our acad cousins to re attach manually if its exported...
