Modify LineStyle Scale

I am using the command 'SelectBy Attributes' to select all my Lines and Line Strings.  I'm then using the 'Modify LineStyle Scale' command as shown below to change all of them to 50 scale.  This works great and changes most of my LineStyles.  But several get changed to 600 scale or don't get scaled at  all.  If I run the command several times all the LineStyles eventually get scaled correctly.  Any help on getting this to work one time would be greatly appreciated. I'm using ORD but having the same problem with SS2.  I can post this to those communities if preferred but seemed like a MicroStation issue so I posted here first.  Oh, I uploaded my file also in case anyone wants to reproduce the issue. Thanks again for any help.

  • I was able to open your file and I found something that may help. Without having your line style resource all lines show up solid. I found a line which was not scaling correctly using the method you described. I used Undo All to get back to the original state of the file. I selected the line element and I applied a style from my library. Looking in the Element Properties dialog I could see the style scale was set at 600. There was also a Width Mode applied (Constant 0.001'). Trying to change the scale value to 200 you can see the Scale changes to 1.00 and the Width Mode changes to None. Then attempting to adjust the Scale to 200 works.

Are there supposed to be width factors applied to certain line styles? I would suggest you select all line elements with a style, find the ones that have this setting applied and remove the width factor by setting it to none. Then you should be able to apply the scale factor normally.

I recorded a quick video for reference
