report linked to excell

Question

Hello 
 In the dialog Analyse > Reports we can export the results to excell. 
 But is there also a way to make a two way link? With other words I want to link an excell to the report and when I change values in excell, these changes should be reflected in Microstation. 
 Is this possible?

 You're asking two distinct questions... 
 
 Can I export Item instance data to Excel?
 
 Yes: create a Report and write the data to an Excel file

Can I update Item instance data from Excel?
 
 Yes: use the Item Type Import/Export tool

Hi Luc 
 there is an option 'Retain association' which can be enabled and then you can use 'Refresh Table From a Data Source'
