  • Indeed, not at all easy. Once you know what your DGN coordinates are, you can find a formula, maybe even a ready made Excel spreadsheet to do that. Search on geodetic and/or surveyor's web sites. Back in the bad old days, we had to do this sort of thing a lot. Quite the pile of numbers.

    For the last 20 years I've simply used Corpscon from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for single point calculations. We're supposed to be getting new datum this year, redefining the geoid once again. Good news is they're going to eliminate the US Survey Foot, which has often been a real trouble maker.
