Is there a way to comment in my personal .UCF file?
I just saw where you use "#" at the start of each line. Maybe someone could verify that.
Thanks

Tim,
I am making some changes in the UCF file and would like to note what I am doing. If I just type in notes, would it interfere with the program's ability to read the file?
Thanks,

A pound (#) character is the comment character in any configuration file.
#

You can verify that yourself.
Edit your personal UCF using a plain text edit such as Notepad.
Add a line such as
# This is ignored
Restart MicroStation and see if anything changed.

That's a good approach. It's too easy to make a change to a configuration file and then, six months later, wonder why you made that change.

as Jon mentions, the pound character will allow you to add lines that will not be processed.
I also agree that adding notes is a good thing.
Jon,
Sorry for the delayed reply. It works and will be very helpful in that I can now just comment out what I don't need and remove the # when I need it again.
