Adding Threads to a Hole Feature

Hello all,

In MicroStation CONNECT (Update 15), how can I add a thread to a hole feature?  I don't have the appropriate option in the tool settings (see image).  Is it something added to Update 16 (since it mentions it in 16's help file online), or am I missing something somewhere?

Also, are there any other ways to add threads at all (e.g., to the outside of a revolved custom shape)?

Thanks!

  • From what I can see in the online documentation for MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Update 16.3) is that the Feature Tools are deprecated and are to be removed for future releases.

    Deprecated Features

Feature Modeling and Dimension Driven Design The introduction of new parametric modeling and constraint tools replaces the previous parametric system. Existing DGN files containing Feature Solids and Dimension Driven Design profiles continue to be supported, the editing tools for which may be found by opening the respective toolboxes.

This would include the Thread options on the Hole Feature tool.

    Hole Feature

I cannot see whether a thread option has been included on the equivalent Parametric Modelling tool.
