My organization is using one-drive to store our CAD projects. We are running into a headache with reference files not displaying properly when another user opens the file. Basically, it is due to OneDrive mapping to each individual user in the file path (ex. C:\\Users\username\OneDrive - Projects). Is there a way to save reference files as a "relative path" or somehow make the program correctly map the file despite the username changing in the file path?

Thank you for the info. Where do I need to input the configuration you provided? Sorry I am a not an experienced CAD user.
It depends if you are running with just a local configuration for your stnadards, or if you and your coworkers use networked resources. If you are using a networked setup, this information could be included in your Organization configuration. If you have any kind of CAD manager or network guy who sets up your MicroStation for you, they would be the ones to talk to about this.
If you are all running local, then everyone would have to locate their Personal.UCF file, open it with a text editor, and add the lines from Kevin's file there. Do make a backup of that file before editing in case something goes wrong. And everyone would have to do it, or else it wouldn't really work.
You may also be able to save Kevin's file off to everyone's C:\ProgramData\Bentley\...\Configuration\Organization\ folder, where it should be included automatically. Do check that path - I have several programs loaded onto my machine, and each path is a little different.
But if you have someone who manages your CAD software, talk to them first.

We don't have a CAD manager, we are a very small firm and trying to work it out on our own. Everything is based on OneDrive with no standard network settings. I assume if it's all OneDrive, we would need to take the local route.
There are a few caveats to this, because I don't know how your project directories are set up.
Kevin's file simply defines a MicroStation configuration variable that can be used to help define other configuration variables, or to set paths for reference files. However, this is not exactly retroactive, and it may not be automatic. You should be able to distribute this CFG file to your team; have them copy it into their ...\Organization\ directory where it should load automatically. This will allow everyone to use ustnOneDrive as a configuration variable when defining where to find attachments, either as part of the MS_RFDIR configuration variable, or as part of the actual attachment path.
Look in your help file under "References, Raster Images, Point Clouds and Reality Mesh" -> "Attaching References" -> "Making Portable Reference Attachments". Read that and click the link at the bottom for "To Attach a Model as a Reference Residing in a Directory Specified by a Configuration Variable". Those two pages may help you better understand how to make this work for the way you organize things.
